Meet Your Trainer, Lindsey
Hi, I’m Lindsey! As an equestrian, dog whisperer, military spouse veteran and mom, I understand active lifestyles bring along unexpected circumstances. My goal is to empower you to feel confident with your pup in any situation. I’ll teach you and your pup how clear communication, repetition, reward and play can transform your dog into a Proper Pup. We’ll practice training together in various spaces from Union Point Park in New Bern, NC to The Bruin, downtown!
How I got started...
I was once in your shoes. When it came to dog training, I didn't know where to begin and constantly felt anxiety and stress. The decision to train our family dogs became unavoidable in 2015 when some behavioral issues intensified. I no longer wanted to be anxious when I took my dogs on a walk and no longer wanted to worry about the unexpected when out in public. Since making the decision to train our dogs, my life has changed forever. I was immediately hooked and committed to learning everything I could when it came to dog training. This passion led to a training internship and the journey of becoming the professional trainer I am today.
When working with my clients, my main goal is happy dogs and empowered owners. I want to show you the potential not only in your pup but in you as their owner. Training your pup is personal. That's why we only offer a personalized one-on-one experience- every dog and every family has different needs. You don't realize how much your relationship and quality of life can improve with your dog until you start working together. I strive to develop relationships built on trust, communication, and FUN!
Our five-step program will evaluate your pups' challenges, establish your family goals, walk through an in-person evaluation, and build a customized training program that'll help your pup thrive.

Zella
Our first pup, an irreplaceable, beautiful, 9-year-old Plott Hound. She loved basking in a cozy, sunny spot, and lived for chasing a ball. Zella gave me my first experience with the hound group, dogs with high drive and one-track minds.

Rico
7 year old Kelpie? Heeler mix? We found him on the side of the road. Rico is always up for a new challenge. He has a quick brain and loves free shaping to learn new skills. He has taught me how to train the dog you have, not the dog you want. My journey with Rico has given me invaluable experience on how to develop confidence in anxious fearful dogs.
BETTY
Our newest addition, Betty, the Golden Retriever pup! As many of my clients know I’ve been *golden obsessed* for quite some time now and I finally got one of my own! Betty is exuberant, confident, independent and a grade A cuddler. We are soaking up the puppy days and loving watching her mature to such a perfect part of our family.
